THE MOTHER WOLF

My name is Megan Parker.

I love my wolf pack, real estate, and happy hours.

A family of four standing outdoors on a wooden deck. The woman is holding a young child wearing a blue dress with popsicle patterns, while the man is holding another young child dressed in a red, white, and blue star-spangled outfit. The background features trees and a clear sky, suggesting a summer or holiday theme.
A woman stands in a kitchen with wooden cabinets, setting up a camera on a tripod. The kitchen contains a microwave, various dishes on shelves, a mixer, and a toaster. The countertops are red.
Person smiling and holding a copper mug with a lime wedge in a restaurant with large windows and an ocean view.

The Start:

My love of photography began when I was just a little kid with a disposable camera that never left my side. At age 15 I got my first canon camera for Christmas and since then this has been a passion of mine that has never stopped growing. I was named 'Photographer of the Year' my senior year of high school in 2008. that was when I felt like I finally found my calling.

After I graduated I knew I wanted to pursue photography as a career, I just didn’t know how to get there yet. in 2010 i landed a great job for an online cosmetics retailer and became their in-house studio photographer. While working I attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and in 2017 I graduated with my degree in Fine Art Photography.

Hello Real Estate, I’ve been waiting for you:

In 2018 a realtor friend of mine gave me an opportunity to shoot one of his new listings. I was hooked the moment I started shooting. I quickly obtained my business license, faa drone license, and began the journey of owning my own photography business specializing in real estate.

between 2019-summer of 2022 I shot over 650 homes all across western Washington. I was able to support myself, my growing family, & most of all my need for creativity. I was lucky enough to shoot everything from vacant land, to lovely family homes, to luxurious mansions along the puget sound. During that time I crossed paths with many different people in all various stages of their lives. but what they had in common was the love they shared for their home. so in my work I strived to capture that love for the place that gave them peace, security, & comfort. Because if I could do that then perhaps it would spark that feeling in potential buyers as well. a win-win for all.

Why Mother Wolf:

the summer of 2022 changed everything. my husband & I decided to start a new chapter of our own. we both lived in western Washington for most of our lives, but with the changing of a tide we knew we belonged elsewhere. so we moved to north Idaho with our 1 year old daughter in tow & had hopes that I could start up my business after we settled in. 2 weeks into us moving here we found out we were unexpectedly expecting our 2nd daughter. So that idea had to be put on the back burner for the last 2.5 years while i’ve focused on raising my own pack. but it is now time for the mother wolf to leave the den and start this passion up for herself again.

The Future:

I am beyond thrilled to be launching my real estate photography business for the second time but now in beautiful northern Idaho. I cannot wait to start working with new realtors and achieving the same level of success for homeowners around this lovely part of the world we all get to call home.

cheers to the next chapter!
